When Lily was at the JCC, they did not celebrate Halloween.  Rather, they celebrated Purim.  So I felt like, despite it being a part of their faith and it was my option to send her to that daycare, she missed out on dressing up for Halloween.  Fast forward a few years to 1st grade – where now, rather than dressing up like her favorite Halloween character, she dressed up like a Catholic Saint.  She opted to dress up as Kateri Tekakwitha … also affectionately know as Lily of the Mohawks.  She had a great time getting into character – and I had a great time assembling the outfit.
