When Lily was at the JCC, they did not celebrate Halloween. Rather, they celebrated Purim. So I felt like, despite it being a part of their faith and it was my option to send her to that daycare, she missed out on dressing up for Halloween. Fast forward a few years to 1st grade – where now, rather than dressing up like her favorite Halloween character, she dressed up like a Catholic Saint. She opted to dress up as Kateri Tekakwitha … also affectionately know as Lily of the Mohawks. She had a great time getting into character – and I had a great time assembling the outfit.
As you may remember last year was a tough one for Lilliana. This year, the tears were replaced by smiles. Pure happiness to return to school.
So not creative with this one. But come back + see the princess series starring none other than our Miss Lilliana. Often, a twin will sneak in … or a best friend. But we are heading through the list one Disney princess at a time. First up … Rapunzel.
Ken and I agreed on the name Lillian Elizabeth. When we were in Hawaii, this adorable little girl was named Lilliana. We both thought it was beautiful and liked that even better 🙂 Lillian(a) is for my great-grandmother. Elizabeth is for Ken’s grandmother.
A few months ago they offered – let’s take the kids to Disney. Do you mind? Oh, mind you ask mom + dad. No, not at all. You want to take our kids to Disney for a few days? We can have some alone time. Sure. Yes, why thank you. Thank you very much. Oh…
